'Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away' - Maya Angelou
I'm a Southern California boutique photographer specializing in children's portraiture and small events.
My love for photography started at a very early age. I grew up in a house surrounded by magazines such as Look, Life, National Geographic and Time. The photographs and my vivid imagination would transport me millions of miles away. When I got the opportunity to take a photography class in high school, I jumped at the chance! I started with film, and performed my own darkroom work. By the end of the school year, I'd received an honorable mention from the Los Angeles Times. I dreamed of becoming a photojournalist, but life had other plans. Jump forward, and I have wholeheartedly jump into digital photography, which I find to be more spontaneous and creative!
My approach is modern, simple and laid-back. I strive to tell a story through my imagery and capture the real expressions and emotions in the moment, using the photojournalistic style that I grew up loving.
I'm continuously honing my skills by studying and working with photographers that are at the very peak of their genres and trying my best to deliver that same level of craftsmanship in my own work. I've been rewarded by having my photography added to the private collection of the Royal Academy of Engineering in London and appearing in numerous magazines, newspapers, textbooks, brochures and on blogs, websites and online galleries, worldwide.
I'm currently taking clients by appointment only.
